Opportunity:

Leading home builder and longtime client, Boutique Homes, engaged Cassette to support a very important initiative – the build and auction of a premium family home in Point Lonsdale’s The Point Estate to support local children’s charity, Cottage by the Sea.

With all funds raised from the sale of the home going directly to Cottage by the Sea to support children in need, we got busy building a marketing and communications plan to leverage a famous face, and generate widespread awareness for every stage of the campaign.

Boutique Homes’ partnership with Cottage by the Sea is devoted to helping the important not-for-profit continue to enhance the lives of young people with its inspirational, fun and tailored holiday camp programs for children in need.

Strategy:

Cassette developed a detailed marketing and communications plan to launch Boutique Homes’ important initiative and provide a framework for future communications, with multiple project milestones and media moments identified across a two year period.

Key to the PR program was leveraging well-known Australian television presenter and Cottage by the Sea ambassador, Rebecca Maddern, to generate widespread awareness, and providing media with compelling content (with site visits not possible at the time due to COVID).

Stunning drone videography and accompanying photography featuring Rebecca Maddern, together with quotes from other spokespeople, was included in the media pack and used across numerous communication touchpoints to create a memorable project launch.

Success:

Success for this community-focused campaign will span many stages: widespread awareness of Boutique’s premium home being built and later auctioned, a significant sale result and ongoing benefits delivered to Cottage by the Sea.

Stage one was a smashing success, with Rebecca Maddern’s generosity of time and spirit, together with Cassette’s PR push, resulting in tremendous support from local media: seven individual feature stories including a front-page cover.

With the home set to be complete and auctioned in 2022, Cassette is now working with Boutique Homes to generating further awareness for this incredible initiative.
