Opportunity:

When it comes to painting, most consumers come up against the same challenge – they can’t visualise how a colour would look in a real-world application.

Dulux, one of Australia’s leading and most trusted paint brands, engaged us to bring to life 1,000 of their most popular paint colours to help assist consumers with choosing the perfect colour for their home renovation project.

Taking a departure from traditional single-colour paint swatches, our job was to develop a unique and engaging way to showcase the huge breadth and depth of colours available.

Strategy:

The 1,000 Dulux colours were divided into 12 master hue groups that would each be brought to life in a home-styled space. This would allow the audience to apply a real-life lens to each colour, seeing its impact in-situ rather than on a colour chart or swatch sample.

Together, these 12 scenes not only represent the unique colour groups, but also encapsulate the different spaces within the home, affording a unique versatility and relatability to the suite of images.
