Opportunity:

People are increasingly looking for new ways to express their most authentic selves. From adopting unique hair styles and fashion looks to phone cases and even drink bottles. But there was one avenue for self-expression to trump them all – Custom Plates.

Cassette was tasked with developing a brand campaign that would drive home that idea that Custom Plates were the ultimate vehicle for self-expression, making them a natural choice for every Victorian.

This campaign would therefore need:
– Generate awareness and interest surrounding the Custom Plates offering as a way for Victorian drivers to be unapologetically themselves;
– Increase engagement with the brand; and
– Drive sales of Custom Plates to help reach annual targets.

Strategy:

Our campaign platform – ‘There’s a plate for everyone’ – is a proclamation to all Victorians that when you give your car Custom Plates, it becomes uniquely and proudly yours. It’s your licence for ultimate self-expression.

The centrepiece of the campaign was a statewide TVC that exemplified the campaign platform, demonstrating just how powerfully Custom Plates could capture the passions and personalities of Victorian drivers.

Success:

The campaign was rolled out over multiple marketing channels, including OOH, radio, digital ads and social channels ­– totalling 1,250 assets – the smooth delivery of which was a testament to Cassette’s ability to respond and adapt, at pace, to timeline and creative changes.
